Springfield Elementary News

Sandra Philipson is a reading specialist and educational consultant. She has degrees in education, reading, and literacy. She has written several children's books about her dogs: Max, Annie, Tak, Trini and Oliver. She lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio with her husband and three of her dogs. (Max and Annie have passed on.) She visited our school at the invitation of Mrs. Mary Ann Davis and spent he day. She meet with each grade level along with Tak, Trini, and Oliver. She talked about her life as a children's author, allowed our students to pet her dogs, provided writing activities for the students, and shared tales of all of her dogs. Her goal was to inspire our students to want to read more. More information is available at www.maxandannie.com.
